Osteopathic Manual Practitioner BA, BHSc, MOMSc

Janet attained her BA in Anthropology and BHSc in Midwifery before embarking on her journey into osteopathy. She worked as a midwife in Barrie for 14 year. Having the privilege to bear witness to the amazing capabilities of the human body solidified her understanding and confidence in the body’s ability to self-heal and self-regulate.

As part of the osteopathic philosophy is to focus on finding the health that exists within the body, she fell in love with this optimistic view of health and healing. Her interest grew into a desire to pursue this hands-on craft and acquire the tools to be able to share this holistic therapeutic practice with her community. Janet attained her Masters in Practice diploma of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences (MOMSc), a 4 year principles based education in Classical Osteopathy at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy (CAO). She is a member in good standing with Osteopathy Canada (OSTCAN).

Janet is delighted to be traveling the journey of continued learning about the intricacies of the human body. Everyone’s pattern of disharmony in their body is different. For each of her clients, Janet is committed to explore and problem solve how the structure of their body is influencing their function, their symptoms and their day-to-day well being.
